    • Joint Solicitors to the recent Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) public offer.

     

    • Acted as Liquidator to NECCO in liquidation.

     

    • Represents NEXIM Bank Plc on N85 million debt recovery.

     

    • Successfully represented a Governor in his election tribunal matter.

     

    • Solicitors to Offer and Public Issue of WEMA Bank Plc of N5,000,000,000 ordinary shares.

     

    • Client’s representation on: preparation of legal documentation for the sale of a vessel and vetted all legal documents; release and sale of vessel; preparation of Legal Opinion on the claim; negotiations with crew and other stakeholders; appointment of solicitors in India to undertake the release of the vessel; examination of bids for the sale of the vessel; sale of the vessel through international shipbrokers (London).

     

    • Providing legal advisory services to Universe Security Group UK in certain agreements and the necessary requirements before establishing a business in Nigeria and subsequently establishing similar security companies.

     

    • Legal advisory services to the Bureau of Public Enterprises for the privatization of Eleme Petro-Chemical Company Limited. Value $220 million.

     

    • Review of certain Decrees (16 in Number) for the Federal Ministry of Justice. Description of Actual Services Provided – attended meetings with members of the subcommittee appointed for the review; review of the relevant laws in relation to the 1999 Constitution; selection of Decrees and Sections that are inconsistent with the 1999 Constitution; removal/deletion of the inconsistent sections; rephrasing and replacing the inconsistent and irrelevant Decrees and Sections with relevant ones; submission and presentation of the report.

     

    • External solicitors to Cross Rivers State in the boundary matter between Cross River State and Akwa Ibom State before the Supreme Court to determine the extent of the interstate boundary between Cross River State and Akwa Ibom State. Also represented Cross River State at the Supreme Court of Nigeria in determining that Bakassi Local Government Area falls within Cross River State boundaries.Description of Actual Services Provided – conducted due diligence; researched relevant laws; studied the history of the area; provided legal advice/consultancy services on coastal water ways; representation in negotiations/meetings and correspondence with relevant persons; claim Strategy; litigation (representation at the Supreme Court of Nigeria); advocacy on behalf of the Cross River State Government. The subject matter of the suit was Federal Government allocation from proceeds from oil exploration.

     

    • Provided legal opinion on Section 123 (3) a, b & c of the Securities and Exchange Act 1999 “The Collective Investment Scheme". Description of Actual Services Provided - sStudied the Securities and Exchange Act 1999 particularly Section 123 (3) a, b & c; research in relevant laws; preparation of legal advice; rephrasing and creation of a more appropriate one.

     

    • Advised on agreement between the Local Organising Committee and Ace Computers in respect of Nigeria '99 (Junior World Cup) in respect of the transportation of equipment from France and facilitating the agreement completion. Description of Actual Services Provided - scrutinizing and vetting of the agreement; provision of legal advice; representation in negotiations/meetings and correspondence with relevant persons; facilitation in registering of the agreement at the Ministry of Justice.

     

    • Facilitated the Joint Venture Agreement between Kano Textile Printers Plc and Yichang Xuguang Textile Group Co Ltd. Description of Actual Services Provided - conducted due diligence; drafting and negotiating the Joint Venture Agreement; arranging all necessary legal requirements including the agreement for the transportation of the looms and all other equipment; performance of due diligence; representing the client in Beijing China; representation at meetings; correspondence with relevant parties; processing Expatriate Quotas and Residence Permits.

     

    • Interim Report on Findings of Investigation of alleged missing N40 billion by management of the Education Tax Fund (ETF). Description of Actual Services Provided - studied the report; conducted due diligence; provided advise to the Board of ETF; attended meetings; conducted research on the matter; provided advise to the Board of ETF; prepared reply to the National Assembly on behalf of ETF.

     

    • Advice and litigation in the Pedmar Nig Ltd Vs. Texaco case. Description of Actual Services Provided - research on legal and corporate; conducted search at the Corporate Affairs Commission; drafting of brief, motions and processes; filing of brief, motions and processes; appearances at the Supreme Court.

     

    • Joint Solicitors to the proposed Initial Public Offering and Listing of Standard Trust Bank Plc ordinary shares at the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Description of Actual Services Provided - verification of the legal status of the bank; advising the Joint issuing houses on legal aspects of the offer; reviewing and ensuring compliance with the statutory regulatory authorities; vetting all legal documentation; advise on material contracts and pending claims against the bank; attending drafting meetings; liaising with the Corporate Affairs Commission for approvals and filings.

     

    • Arbitration and award between Dredging International Services Nigeria Ltd and Ompadec. Description of Actual Services Provided - general correspondence with the relevant parties; representation at meetings with relevant authorities; completion and receipt of the award.

     

    • Representing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in several cases particularly against Joshua Dariye the Executive Governor of Plateau State and in the Inland Bank Plc forfeiture of shares in about N1 Billion Naira worth of shares. Also dealt with electoral matters at both the Trial and Appeal Courts in Bornu State (Gubernatorial) and Niger State (Local Government).
